Travis Scott will perform at the Billboard Music Awards
It is about to be lit.
Travis Scott will return to the stage at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, it was announced today. The Houston rapper will perform live at Sunday’s show in Las Vegas, marking his first performance at an awards show since November’s Astroworld festival, which killed 10 people.
Travis and HVME’s remix of “Goosebumps” is nominated for Top Dance/Electronic Song at this year’s show. In 2019-20, he became the first artist in Billboard Hot 100 history to debut three songs at No. 1 in less than a year – “Highest in the Room”, “The Scotts” ( with Kid Cudi), and “franchise”.

It’s unclear what Travis will be playing or if he’ll debut new music from his long-awaited album. Utopia. He recently teamed up with Future on Southside’s single “Hold That Heat,” but he hasn’t released any solo music since “Mafia” and “Escape Plan” in November.
Over the weekend, he performed his first paid gig since Astroworld at Miami’s E11EVEN nightclub during Race Week. He is also set to perform at Primavera Sound festivals in South America in November.
Hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs, the 2022 Billboard Music Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 15 at 8 p.m. ET. Other artists include Silk Sonic, Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy, Latto, Maxwell, Megan Thee Stallion and Mary J. Blige, who will receive the Billboard Icon Award.
