TO BEAT! TO SPEAK! Use Gag TED Talks to help you learn the English language
In early September, we covered the asobu Indie Showcase, an online event from a Tokyo-based organization that promotes and supports indie developers. Many Switch games were shown, including some that we assumed were Japanese-only titles.
TO BEAT! TO SPEAK! was one of the games we doubted would come to the world, but it turns out we were wrong. Developer Gift-10’s project is now available worldwide on the eShop – it’s designed to help people learn the rhythm and tempo of English, supported languages are Japanese, Korean and the Chinese.
As you can see in the trailer, he has a quirky style, but you can read more about his goals in the official description below:
By playing the rhythm game, you will start to feel the bouncing rhythm of English. Each time you press a button, you can say the word out loud with the game’s natural pronunciation. Before you know it, you’ll naturally find yourself saying a lot of English!
