This rap cover of SLAYER’s “Raining Blood” is a far cry from the original

Rapper jeris johnson originally entered the world of rock and metal in 2021 when he worked with daddy cockroach on a revamp of their classic single “Last Resort”. Johnson did the trick again this year when he was named one of the openers for the next Korn and Evanescence tour, and now he’s back with a cover of Slayer’s “Raining Blood.”

Although I’m not sure if this really qualifies as an actual cover? Of course, the melodies and the general structure are there, and Johnson is certainly in tune with classic riffs, but that’s about it.
