Serpentwithfeet – Bless the phone song

As Christmas approaches, covers of classic holiday songs have been released left and right. The most recent arrival comes from serpentwithfeet, who gave us their take on “Bless The Telephone” by Labi Siffre.

“Remember to call that person you love this holiday season,” he captioned an Instagram post showing the single’s artwork, which was repeatedly complimented in the comments section.

Earlier this year the snake fell DEACON, an 11-track project that saw the singer collaborate with NAO on “Heart Storm” while also taking on 10 other tracks (including “Same Size Shoe”, “Sailor’s Superstition” and “Derrick’s Beard”) on his own. On November 5, he fed his fans again, this time with an EP titled THE WOOD OF THE DEACONS.

The aforementioned follow-up included a ‘Fellowship’ remix with Ambré and Alex Isley, which we recommend you check out when you’re done streaming ‘Bless The Telephone’.

Listen below, and as Snake said, don’t forget to call your loved ones this season.

Words to quote:

It’s nice the way you say my name
Not very fast or slow, just soft and low
The same as when you tell me how you feel
I feel the same
I am very much in love with you
