Erica Banks and Gloss Up
We’re calling on South and West Coast female rappers who released videos last week: Erica Banks, Gloss Up and Day Sulan.
Erica Banks recently dropped her new song “Get Even Remix” and an accompanying video.
Gloss Up shared their latest “Broke Boy Pt.2” with Bankroll Freddie last week.
And Day Sulan released a video last week proving she’s one to watch.
Day Sulan – “Teach Us to Play”
Day Sulan has been on our radar since signing to YG’s 400 ENT label. In the music video for her catchy new single, she gives City Girl a straightforward demeanor. Inside a convenience store, the Los Angeles native unleashes a rowdy set of bars explaining why she doesn’t take men seriously unless they address her properly. The upbeat single is a great addition to the ongoing crop of female rappers who have been steadily releasing music throughout the pandemic.
Erica Banks – “Get Even Remix”
Texas rapper Erica Banks floats on her latest freestyle “Get Even Remix.” There’s an energy throughout the accompanying video that’s worth noting, it’s infectious. Her name is “Da Flow Queen” and this whole track shows that the fact that she can still serve loosies aside from her recent project is commendable. Erica’s last release was her mixtape Flow Queen Diary which fell a few months ago.
Gloss Up, Bankroll Freddie – “Broke Boy Pt. 2”
Quality Control backed the Memphis rapper Gloss Up, and for good reason. In her latest: “Broke Boy Pt. 2″, she displays her unique pun. The track features a catchy chorus that caught our eye last week. Gloss Up is joined by label mate Bankroll Freddie for their new single That link works just fine. We hope the Memphis-based artist isn’t planning on slowing down anytime soon.
