Ed Sheeran jumps to afro-beat track by Nigerian artist Fireboy DML

English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is expanding his musical portfolio. Jump on remix of Nigerian superstar hit single Fireboy DML Peru, the A-list star has embarked on her very first afro-beat track.

Sheeran mixed things up. Do dance pieces like Bad habits is something different from his usual love songs… and the afro-beats are even further removed from his normal sound.

Fireboy rose to fame in 2019 with his massive single Vibration from his first album, To laugh, Tears and goose bumps… corn Peru is definitely the trail that put it on the map.

The original version of Peru, which was released in July, has already become the most listened to song of Fireboy’s career… the song that shot him to stardom!

Getting a big name like Sheeran to feature on the remix is ​​HUGE! The track will be released this Friday, December 24, 2021, just in time for the Christmas festivities.

Boomuzz Nigeria took to Twitter with a clip of Sheeran and Fireboy giving a taste of what was to come… they made the unexpected announcement.

Sheeran also shared the news on her social media. It was definitely a surprise to just about everyone!

While Sheeran ventured into other genres of music… Afro-beat is certainly not something everyone would have guessed would be next.

Peru also mapped well in parts of Europe, which makes it a bit more understandable why Sheeran would jump on a trail like this. Taking risks is certainly where the Perfect hitmaker is at.
