Diddy Drops ‘Gotta Move On’ Remixes with Ashanti and Tory Lanez

It’s the remix.

After releasing his Bryson Tiller-assisted hit “Gotta Move On” in June, Diddy arrives with the “Queens Remix” featuring Ashanti and Yung Miami.

The Love Records founder kicks off the Ron Browz-produced track with a snippet of Phil Collins’ ‘In the Air Tonight’ before calling on the ladies to “show up on the dance floor”.

Yung Miami shouts out her man on her verse (“My new ni**a richer one”) before Ashanti appears to respond to Irv Gotti following his headline-grabbing comments about their relationship.

“Ni**a I left, ni**a I finished, ni**a moved on,” she sings. “I’m done with that / She can have your little dick.”

Ashanti, who has been silent so far, continues to blast Gotti. “It’s obsessed with donations, it gives you stress / It gives you pressure / It gives that nigga missing the best / But it’s been 20 years, nigga please say less.”

“I think it was just perfect timing,” Ashanti said of the song’s release. “There was a lot going on with me and a lot of controversy. Some people don’t know how to move on. So, I felt it was an opportunity to tell people to move on.

Speaking to ‘The Breakfast Club’, Diddy revealed why he wanted Ashanti on the remix. “I think music and art give you a chance to express yourself in the territory of love,” he said. “After seeing Irv do his thing, I was just thinking, ‘Sis, maybe you want to, you know, just express yourself on this song.'”

As part of his four-track “Gotta Move On” EP, Diddy also released a Cool and Dre-produced remix that samples Michael McDonald’s “I Keep Forgettin'” as well as a “Kings Remix” featuring Fabolous and Tory. The nose.
