CJ recruits Ozuna and Anuel AA for “Whoopty” Latin Remix music video

CJ has just upped the pressure on his hit “Whoopty” with a new Latin remix. Puerto Rican superstars Ozuna and Anuel AA join the rising rapper in the punchy clip.

“Whoopty” is CJ’s turn on the emerging genre of boring music.

Christopher Daniel Soriano, Jr., better known by his stage name CJ, broke earlier this year thanks to his single “Whoopty”. It capitalized on the sound of exercise music that was popularized by the late Dominican-American rapper Pop Smoke. Since then, Eladio Carrion and Chucky73 have extended the reach of the emerging genre.

Ozuna and Anuel didn’t have to work that hard on the remix (but luckily they did).

In February, “Whoopty” reached No. 10 on Billboardin the Hot 100 rankings all kinds of while impressively culminating in No.3 in the UK Singles Rankings. In the “Whoopty” remix, CJ delves into his Puerto Rican roots with the help of artists Boricua Ozuna and Anuel AA. This energy which was lacking in the self-proclaimed “Los Dioses del Trap” on their joint album is there. Anuel goes off like a Gatling gun in his guest verse, and Ozuna does his own thing. This remix has a lot of bars and it’s unrestricted at the same time.

That fire that Anuel AA and Ozuna bring to the “Whoopty” remix is perfectly captured in the new clip. With CJ, they rap their verses in front of a burning car. There is also an underground fight club which increases the intensity of the visual.

Previously, CJ released a “Whoopty” NYC remix starring Rowdy Rebel and French Montana. His second single “Bop” followed. Then CJ will drop the Loyalty to royalty Deluxe EP April 9.
