Bia blasts internet trolls for inciting rap jams
On Saturday, November 12, rapper BIA took to social media to blast internet trolls for inciting rapping.
“I think a lot of artists wouldn’t be in trouble if it weren’t for the trolls inciting imaginary jams,” the ‘London’ hitmaker tweeted. In a follow-up tweet, she continued, “Rap should be competitive, it should be a sport, talk your shit…but people try to make shit apply to the people it’s not about. not even and it sucks.”
The former ‘Sisterhood of Hip Hop’ star then had to set the record straight when a Twitter user claimed that BIA had dissed fellow rapper Nicki Minaj in the past. “Those were fake tweets from a Stan who didn’t like me…this story is tired, let’s find something else to discuss,” she replied.
Last summer, Nicki Minaj hopped on the remix of BIA’s “Whole Lotta Money” single, which ended up going platinum. The original song was released as the fifth single from BIA’s second EP. DEFINITELY. The remix pushed the single onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 16. “I love you @NICKIMINAJ I know you didn’t have to and you did and you’ll always have my heart for it. Nothing will ever change that. Thank you,” BIA wrote to Nicki Minaj on Twitter.
Speaking about the experience, BIA also added that working with the ‘Super Freaky Girl’ hitmaker was a “bucket list moment” for her. “I really had the opportunity to bond and write with Nicki man, my heart is so full right now, it’s a to-do list moment. So iconic. So timeless… that shit is crazy God is so good,” she continued.
A few months ago, BIA also hopped on Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix)” alongside City Girls’ JT, Akbar V, Maliibu Mitch and Katie Got Bandz.
