Archie Eversole shot and killed, brother arrested for murder

The hip-hop community is mourning the loss of Archie Eversole.
The Atlanta rapper, best known for his sports anthem “We Ready,” has died at age 37. According to Dekalb County Police, Archie was shot by his brother, Alexander Kraus, at a Chevron gas station on March 25. He died of his injuries at a nearby hospital on April 3.
Kraus, 41, was arrested and is in the Dekalb County Jail, TMZ reports. He was originally charged with aggravated assault but now faces murder charges.
In 2002, Archie released his first album, Roll with me in the dirty southern style. The album was certified gold, spawning the hit “We Ready” and the remix featuring Bubba Sparxxx.
“We Ready” has become an anthem at football games and other sporting events. The NFL even used it in an ad to celebrate the 2019 season opener.
Archie was a staple of the Atlanta hip-hop scene. In 2018, he created a song for Atlanta United football club titled “United We Conquer”.
Friends and fans have taken to social media to share tributes in the wake of the tragedy.
