Presentation

Managing cinema industry for holding world peace

The Lumier brothers might not be aware that their invention will change into one of the greatest achievements of twentieth century after years and have a special influence on recording and reflecting the occurrences in its surrounding world.

But so unfortunately one of the most famous happenings in the twentieth century is the chain of continuous wars which has made the face of modern world dark and black,  peaceless and violent, so that Hanna Arent believes that the war has covered the face of  twentieth century.

Cinema as the 7th art and the most influential media of modern world can change into the best and most efficient tribune of human society for coming to the world free from war and accompanied by peace and democracy.

If justice, truth and liberty are basic stresses and values of all human societies, we have to accept that the only road and proper context for achieving the values is holding peace and democracy in both nationwide and international areas.

The author tries in the article below to explain the relation between cinema and the world peace and answer the basic questions in this context. Questions such as:

-          Is the cinema stepping in the road of peace and towards democracy?

-          And how can we use the cinema for expanding and developing peace in the world?

At this time, in the beginning years of 21st century, we have to admit this point that by passing a century from the birth of cinema, this art-industry is still attractive for people colonies . Even with the existence of a very strong competitor like TV, in the middle of 20th century, cinema can keep its unique position that is due to tracing its own main mission which is detecting and showing the truth up, but unfortunately in the past years this has been ignored.
