A Single Drop
Water, Music and Unity
A Pathway to Peace and Global Harmony
It takes a single
drop of water to start a wave, one person to initiate social
change! Music has always been a
source of inspiration. Water is the source of life. When the
power of these two elements merge, just as the power of
drops united can create a wave, together we have the
capacity to create change! It is only natural that as we
look to the future of humankind, we begin to recognize that
water and music are all integral to world peace and our
health and well-being. This interactive workshop will
explore the social, historical and spiritual role that water
and music have played in peacemaking.
A SINGLE DROP is a non-profit organization that is dedicated
to promoting peace by building The Million Voice Choir to
sing “WE RISE”, a new-human world anthem that uses water as
a metaphor for unity in action. The goal is to harness the
powerful flow of united human intention demonstrating the
magnitude of a simple action as it effects ripple outward.
Both
our planet and our human bodies are 70% water, and we
naturally embody the qualities of water when we choose.
Water flows around obstacles. Water nourishes. Water
unconditionally accepts toxins and waste, and it’s nature is
to purify. Water will always level itself. And, even though
there is dynamic power in a single drop of water, once it is
added to any source, it becomes unified with that source;
and, that exact same drop of water can never be retrieved
again. The Million Voice Choir invites people to revitalize
our relationship with water – how we use it, how we honor
it, and how we share it – and to see water as a source of
peacemaking for the 21st century.
No matter what culture, what religious practice or what
geo-political stance one has, the sentiments expressed in
ÒWE RISEÓ and the power of a million drops of water (voices)
united creates a wave of peace. Join us.
