Speech

Inter & intra-religious education and World Unity

World Unity and Peace Education requires not only religious mutual understanding, but the sharing of spiritual values which help the development of each individual human vocation for global benefit. The core of these transcendent values and principles is not merely conventional, but it reflects the essence of every human being and the key to its full development. Consequently, every person has the absolute right to be educated in these transcendent values and principles, to know how they are universally shared, to recognize when they are not respected and, above all, to be respected in his own identity and freedom. A thorough inter-religious dialogue and an intra-religious mentality, helps building a planetary consciousness and leads to unity and pluralism through the mutual interpenetration without the loss of the proper peculiarities of each religiousness or spirituality. It is an open process which schools and universities should stimulate either indoors or outdoors, looking forward to a peaceful global community of true dialogue and deep silence.
